Anatomic Pathology
The Anatomic Pathology Division is composed of a team of national and internationally known pathologists, many holds key leadership positions in national/international pathology committees, and are authors of pathology books, book chapters and peer review articles.
Our division provides diagnostic expertise for Loyola University Medical Center and Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, with around 35,000 surgical specimens and 22,000 cytology specimens and 80 cases of autopsy per year.
In order to provide better service to our patients and clinical colleagues, our surgical pathology is subdivided into multiple subspecialties including Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, Breast Pathology, Dermatopathology, Gynecological pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, Genitourinary Pathology, Head and Neck Pathology, Neuropathology and Thoracic Pathology. With this approach, each diagnosis is made by an expert in that area; it also provide a great platform to facilitate a better communication and collaboration with our clinicians.
Beside above conventional anatomic pathology service, we also provide specialty services in solid organ transplantatiton pathology, renal pathology, and digital pathology for pathology in greater Chicago area.
