Renal Pathology

Renal Pathology Section supports clinical, educational and academic activities in the area of medical kidney diseases including specimens from native and transplant kidneys.  Full workup of specimens is provided including special stains, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, electron microscopy and molecular studies as appropriate.  Digital pathology capabilities are available for rapid/after hours biopsy evaluation if needed.

Regularly scheduled kidney biopsy conferences and didactic sessions are available for the Nephrology Fellows, Pathology Residents and other programs as applicable.
