Bone and Soft Tissue/Orthopedic Pathology

The Bone and Soft Pathology Service of the Division of Anatomic Pathology provides comprehensive diagnostic expertise and services relating to the pathology of benign and malignant disorders of the bone and soft tissue. The Service provides expert diagnostic interpretation of in-house cases for Loyola Health System and national consultation.  Senior residents can take an elective in orthopedic and podiatric pathology to see a wide range of musculoskeletal cases. Residents will learn to correlate radiological imaging with bone and soft tissue pathology. Residents also can rotate through the orthopedic surgery department to observe surgical procedures and participate in orthopedic tumor boards.
