Rachel attended medical school at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, with rotations at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva and EMMS hospital in Nazareth. Along the way she had wonderful teachers, who inspired her to consider almost every area of medicine. She ultimately landed in pathology, where every day is challenging and interesting, and she gets to keep in touch with all branches of medicine and surgery.
Her sub-specialty interests in pathology include hematopathology and transfusion medicine.
“Loyola is a great place to train - there is a cheerful environment, where we have fun while being dedicated and serious physicians who care for the surrounding community. There is a sense of camaraderie among the residents, in addition to strong collaboration with our PAs, laboratory scientists, and clinical teams of other departments. The faculty here are talented teachers and great mentors.
Outside of work, I love to read, learn new languages, cook new recipes with my family, and spend time outdoors hiking and biking”
