Born and raised in Chicago, Leah moved to the nearby state of Wisconsin for her medical studies. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, School of Medicine and Public Health.
Leah wants to explore all areas of Pathology, but she is especially interested in surgical pathology subspecialties.
Outside of pathology, Leah is passionate about arts and crafts and adept at knitting, crocheting, sewing beautiful clothes and other handmade creations, as well as painting. She really enjoys cooking interesting meals (ask for her zucchini bread recipe!) and gardening. As an avid book reader, Leah is already a devoted member of our department’s book club.
Leah chose Loyola because “the learning environment here seemed really supportive, and there was a strong emphasis on not just being amazing pathologists, but also the importance of being a well-rounded and balanced human outside of medicine. And being in Chicago near family and friends was a huge perk, too!”
