Noland Donahue, DO

Nolan is a Chicagoland native from Orland Park, IL. He started his academic career as a music student studying percussion performance before ultimately pivoting career paths and attending medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. His personal interests in pathology include hematopathology and pediatric pathology.

Outside of the lab, Nolan and his wife Elizabeth enjoy a broad “side-hustle” in music arrangement and performance at low-pressure venues in the Chicagoland area. On their ideal weekend, they would be found at a Symphony Center or Lyric Opera matinée.

On why he chose Loyola: “Loyola was the closest thing I had to a home program, and I rotated here multiple times in medical school. I was struck by the encouraging mentorship of the faculty, the collegial relationship among the residents, and the overall open and supportive environment of the program. I could see that the residents really enjoyed working with each other, and they treated rotating students the same way they would a co-resident. What you saw was what you got.
